An artist needed a portfolio that worked in two languages and reflected their own sense of design — a place to show work, publish short posts, and change things over time without calling a developer for every edit.
The problemOff-the-shelf site builders tend to force a single look, treat a second language as an add-on, and still leave the owner dependent on someone else for real changes. A portfolio that is meant to represent an artist should not feel like a template.
What we did
- 01 Bilingual from the start
Two languages treated as first-class, so the site reads as intended in both rather than one being a bolt-on translation.
- 02 Multiple themes
Several themes, so the presentation can shift with the work instead of being locked to one fixed look.
- 03 A stories feature
A stories / posts feature, so the site is somewhere to keep publishing, not a static page that ages.
- 04 A lightweight admin
A simple admin built for the owner, so everyday updates happen without a developer in the loop.
